EKITI STATE SCHOOL ASSISTANCE PROJECTS (SAP)

THE RATIONALE
            The provision of infrastructural facilities and renovation of school building have been neglected in the past. Students study under deplorable infrastructures making learning and teaching difficult for teachers and students. The following pictures show the samples of poor state of infrastructure in Ekiti State School;
This leads to poor school attendance and poor academic performance on the part of the students. Due to the huge financial cost involved in the running of education, it is evident that Government alone cannot provide all it takes to provide education for all. Hence the need to involve the private sector. Therefore, in an effort to rapidly improve the existing infrastructural facilities in school, government is putting in place THE SCHOOLS ASSISTANCE PROJECT (SAP). The vision of the present government on SAP is to allow private individuals and organizations to participate in the construction and renovation of school buildings across the length and breadth of the State.
 
THE OBJECTIVES
  1. To provide good and modern classrooms for our children all over the State,.
  2. To enable government to focus its resources on other competing demands in the education sector.
  3. To resuscitate the old time individual and community participation in school development.
  4. To create conducive teaching and learning environment for our teachers and students.
 
WHAT TO DO
  1. Adopt an old block of three or more classrooms and renovate it to specification  in any Primary, Junior or Senior Secondary School in the State.
  2. Construct and donate a block of three or more classrooms to specification in any school of your choice across the State with architectural design available for inspection in the Ministry of Education.
  3. Collect the design from the STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION & TECHNOLOGY.
