EKITI GOVT. GIVES OBA's COUNCIL CHAIRMAN NEW CARS

Ekiti State Governor, Engr Segun Oni has said that his administration would continue to accord traditional rulers in the State their pride of place as custodians of the tradition of the people, adding that Ekiti traditional rulers must be respected in and outside the State.

While noting that his administration had institutionalised the presentation of official cars and pilot vehicles to the office of the Chairman of the Council of Obas in the state, the governor recalled that the State government similarly presented a Prado Jeep and a Toyota pilot van to the immediate past Chairman of the Council and Alaaye of Efon, Oba Emmanuel Aladejare.
He noted that the State government would also recommend Oba Adetunji Ajayi for a National Award as part of efforts to enhance his status as the Chairman of the State’s Council of Traditional Rulers.
Oni, who lauded that the roles traditional rulers have been playing in the development of the State, expressed appreciation to the monarchs for their fatherly support for his administration.
While commending royal fathers   in the State for being united, he expressed joy that there was no rancour among traditional rulers in the State.
Responding, the State Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers and Arinjile of Ise , Oba Adetunji Ajayi, expressed appreciation to Governor Oni for the gesture.
He pledged the support of traditional rulers in the State and the people of his domain for the Oni-Administration
