Oni has directed all the local government councils in the state to
concentrate their finances on the completion of all inherited and on-going
projects in their domains in order to give stability and substance to
governance at the grassroots.
Ekiti State Governor, Engr Segun Oni has urged tertiary institutions in the
country to emulate the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) by initiating
endowment funds and scholarship schemes for brilliant
students in their citadels of learning.

Oni has commissioned 40 18-seater Toyota Hiace buses purchased
under a Public/Private partnership with an Insurance Company for the three drivers
unions in the State with a pledge that his administration would
spare no efforts towards putting in place an efficient transportation
system in the state.

Oni has urged Nigerians to emulate Jesus Christ by imbibing the spirit of
selflessness and forgiveness, saying; “Jesus Christ
suffered at his trial. He was scourged both on the road to the Cross and while
on the Cross. Yet he never held any grudge against those who crucified
him.”
The Ekiti State Commissioner for
Education and Technology, Hon. Bade Adara has reiterated the commitment of
Engr. Segun Oni Administration to curb the alarming rate of failure of students
in National Examination such as WASC and NECO.
