ONI URGES PROVISION OF 3G TELECOMS SERVICES IN EKITI PDF Print E-mail

Ekiti State Governor, Engineer Segun Öni has called on all telecom service providers in the state to as a matter of urgency provide the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000), otherwise known as 3G service in the State, stressing that provision of the 3G facility would not only be beneficial to the people of the State but also boost the economy of the service providers.

Ekiti State Governor, Engr. Segun  Oni has warned  that  stiff sanctions await any one found  trying to sabotage  his administration’s water policy under which production facilities in four major dams have been leased out to private companies for increased productivity.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni has condoled with President of the People Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao and on the tragic earthquake, which rocked the Yu Shu District.The earthquake left nearly 600 people dead while more than 10,000 are thought to have been injured in the 6.9-magnitude tremor that was followed by 18 aftershocks.

Ekiti State Governor, Engr Segun Oni has  directed the authorities of the University Teaching  Hospital , Ado-Ekiti (UTHA) to  immediately commence  the process of taking over and utilizing  the hospital’s  newly completed ultra modern theatre complex, directing the Ministry of Health to organize a Free Surgical Festival in May  to commemorate the completion  of the new theatre.
