Oni has described criticism of the State Government’s award of contract for the
tarring of one of the internal roads in the Afe Babalola University by the
Action Congress (AC) governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi as a product of
deep-seated mischief and hatred for the people of the State.

Oni has called on the people of the State to support the effort of his
administration to increase the State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in
view of the dwindling revenue accruing to it from the Federation Accounts.
As the global economic recession
continues to take its toll on the finances of local councils across the nation,
Ekiti State Governor, Engr Segun Oni has urged the National Union of Local Government
Employees (NULGE) to fish out ghost workers in the local government system in
the state.
Ekiti State Governor, Engr. Segun Oni has said that the proposed farm settlement programme of his administration would transform the state to one leading food producers in the country.
