GOODIES FOR EKITI LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

The National Union of Local Government EGov. Fayose at the Forum.mployees (NULGE) expressed their great joy and delight in the government of Gov. Ayo Fayose for his love for the people of Ekiti State. They made this known in the interactive forum of the principal members of the union with the Chief Executive at Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fare Complex, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State on 2oth of October, 2005.

Governor Fayose  expressed his interest in the welfare of Ekiti State Local Government Employees and promised to take care of them as he did to the teachers in the state. He also promised them December bonus and added that they will start to enjoy the twelve and half percent salary as from December, 2005.

            Earlier, the State NULGE President, Com. Segun Onaade in his speech showed appreciation to his excellency for his various supports for the union in various ways. He noted the love Gov. Fayose expressed for NULGE in making payment of their salaries, leave bonus and other allowance a priority. Com. Segun Onaade commended the developmental efforts of Gov. Peter in the stLoc. Govt Employees showing their joy at the forumate among all are; purchase of transformers distributed across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State, Construction and maintenance of Township Roads, Purchase of 22 units of new tractors and associated implements and donation of Ambulances through a mass oriented health delivery tagged Health Rangers scheme.

 
EKITI STATE AUDITOR-GENERAL ATTACKED BY ARMED ROBBERS - 23/09/05

The Ekiti State Auditor General, Mr A. G. Ajayi was attacked by a gang of armed robbers at the early hours of Friday 23rd, September 2005. The gangs numbering about five (5) disarmed and wounded the night guard in the house and forcefully gained entry into the main building after several minutes of attacks on the main door.

The armed robbers held the entire household of the Auditor-General hostage for more than one and half hours during which the Auditor General was macheted on the head. Before gaining entry, the robbers had destroyed several windows of the house while some valuable properties including the brand new Honda car of the Auditor-General were carted away. A neighbour who came out after hearing sporadic gun shots was also attacked with machete. The Auditor-General was however rushed to the State Specialist Hospital, Ado-Ekiti after the exit of the robbers. Meanwhile, the Honda car was later abandoned at the outskirts of the town.

 

 

EKSG TO DEMOLISH ILLEGAL STRUCTURES - 24/10/05
The Special Adviser on Lands and Housing, rotarian Albert Oluremi Ajewole, has warned that all illegal structures within the Ado, the state Capital will be pulled down while their owners would be sanctioned.  Roatarian Ajewole handed down the warning during the demolition of illegal structures along Fajuyi/Basiri road in Ado-Ekiti.
He noted that despite the warning and radio annooucement by the Urban and regional Planning of the Ministry, some people still went ahead to erect illegal structures under High Tension lines and along major roads in the state Capital.
Rotarian Ajwole advised motor mechanics operating within the town to remove all abadoned and unservisable vehicles in the town to the junkyard provided by the state Government. He added that the state Government has concluded plans to provide a mechnic village.
