EKITI STATE NEW DEPUTY GOVERNOR SWORN-IN - 09/12/05
The Governor released Mr. Omoyeni because no Ekiti man in the History of Wema Bank has ever become a Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Bank and the overwhelming appeal of the Odua Group could not be disregarded. At the swearing-in of the first lady Deputy Governor in Ekiti State the former Deputy Governor appreciate the selfless service of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose and said that even in his new post he can never dissociate himself from the plans and aspiration of Ekiti State Government The new Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Chief Mrs. Biodun Olujimi is an accomplished journalist, a highly experienced politician and a woman with milk of kindness flowing through her veins. In her acceptance speech, she said she would give unreserved loyalty to the Executive Governor. At the well-attended occasion, the Ekiti people further show their commitment to the Government of Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose. Present at the occasion were the Arinjale of Ise-Ekiti, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, the Olomuo of Omuo, Oba Noah Omonigbehin, the Alafao of Afao, the Alare of Are, members of Executive Council, Party leaders and many women groups. The Commissioner for Information, Barrister Gboyega Oguntuase described the change of baton, a change without rancour, malice or hatred. It is a change brought about by destiny and it is unavoidable and un-negotiable. | |||
