Ekiti State Governor Engr Segun Oni has urged the Nigerian Prison Service (NPS) to complete the new prison complex along Afao road, Ado-Ekiti before the end of the month so that the project can be included among those to be commissioned by Acting President Goodluck Jonanthan during his proposed visit to the state.

Ekiti State Governor, Engineer Segun Öni has called on all telecom service providers in the state to as a matter of urgency provide the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000), otherwise known as 3G service in the State, stressing that provision of the 3G facility would not only be beneficial to the people of the State but also boost the economy of the service providers.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni has condoled with President of the People Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao and on the tragic earthquake, which rocked the Yu Shu District.The earthquake left nearly 600 people dead while more than 10,000 are thought to have been injured in the 6.9-magnitude tremor that was followed by 18 aftershocks.
