Ekiti State Governor, Engr. Segun Oni has hailed an indigene of the tate, Pastor Abiola Abe for winning the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Best Small/Medium Entrepreneur Award, adding that; “I am particularly elighted that an Ekiti indigene has done so well in the area of equipment fabrication to deserve recognition by the CBN.”
Pastor Abe, Vice Chairman of National Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (NASME) was nominated by the Justice Development and Peace Makers, Oshogbo, Osun State as the CBN Best Entrepreneur under the Most Innovative Product/Service category.Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Wale Ojo-Lanre, overnor Oni, who described the likes of Pastor Abe as shining examples of what Ekiti State has the potential to achieve in ransforming Nigeria into an industrial giant said: “I was delighted hen I heard the news of the great honour bestowed on one of us by the CBN. “As evident in his profile presented by the CBN, Pastor Abe, a native of Ijero-Ekiti, possesses the skill and knowledge required to transform Nigeria into an industrial giant in 2020. “As an engineer myself, local fabrication of equipment like industrial battery charger, ultraviolet water treatment plants and composite later filter among others are no small feat. I therefore cannot but hail Pastor Abe’s ingenuity,” Governor Oni said. While calling on indigenes of the State to imbibe the spirit of hard-work wherever they might find themselves, Governor Oni said; “Our people must continuously have at the back of their minds that nothing pays better than hard-work and diligence. If you put your best in whatever you are doing, people will notice and reward you. “Today, the reason CBN recognised and rewarded Pastor Abe cannot be other than hard-work and all of us should imbibe this spirit.” |
