ONI APPOINTS NEW CHIEF OF STAFF PDF Print E-mail

The Ekiti State Governor Engr. Segun Oni has announced the appointment of Mr. Oluwole Adekunle as the Chief of Staff in the office of the Governor.

The announcement was contained in a release personally signed by the State Governor Engr. Oni, on Wednesday, 24th June, 2009 in Ado.

The new Chief of Staff retired as the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in 2007 where he was the pioneer Permanent Secretary.

Mr Adekunle worked meritoriously for 34yrs in the Federal Public Service and served in various ministries: including Aviation, Finance, Works and Housing as well as the office of the Head of Civil Service of the federation.

The Chief of Staff who has varied working experience served either as chairman or member of strategic bodies on issues vital to the unity, stability and functionality of Federal Institutions, Board and Agencies.

Some of these include Secretary/Member, Organizing Committee of 1st Lagos International Trade Fair in 1977; Member, Board of Nigeria Industrial Development Bank (1987); Chairman, Presidential Panel on Allegation of abuse of Due Process in the Federal Character Commission et.c.

Mr Adekunle, a native of Igede ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1970 and attended many courses at home and abroad.
