Staff of the State Ministry of Local Government have been charged to be dedicated to their duties.

The Commissioner for the Local Government Affairs, Hon. Femi Ige gave the charges in his New Year message to the staff to mark the beginning of the year 2010 in Ado.

Hon. Femi Ige noted that the administration Governor Oni made the welfare of Civil Servants its priority, adding that they should reciprocate the gesture by being hardworking and dutiful.

He solicited support from the workers and enjoined them to have good working relationship with the present administration with a view to taking the state to greater heights.

The Commissioner added that the government is committed to the socio-economic development of the grassroots as it will continue to implement programs that will alleviate poverty in the State.

He commended the Local Government Chairmen for their performances, urging them to be committed and dedicated to the development of their Local Government Areas.

He called on them to embark on physical projects that will impact the life of the people.
