The State Government has restated commitment to the development of Vocational and Technical Education to enhance production of technical middle level manpower.

The Chairman, Board of Technical and Vocational Education, Mr. Abiodun Agboola who stated this at the end of familiarization tour of Technical Colleges in the State, said government has reduced tuition fees in the Technical Colleges from N800.00 to N500.00

Mr. Agboola announced that the best graduating students of the Technical Colleges would be employed by the Government, while scholarships would be granted to 50 brilliant students in each of the colleges.

He congratulated the new students of colleges and commended government for the public enlightenment jingles on the importance of Technical and Vocational Studies.

Earlier, the Board Executive Secretary, Dr. (Mrs.) Eunice Dada had enjoined both the new students and old students of Technical College Ado to give priority to their studies to enable them enjoy the goodies government has in stock for them.

Dr. Dada advised the teachers to live up to expectation, stressing that students are the leaders of tomorrow.
