Ekiti State Government has ordered butchers in Ado Local Government Area to relocate to the Central Abattoir Complex along Iworoko road, Ado.

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Gboyega Isijola gave the order while addressing journalists in Ado.

He reiterated government’s commitment at ensuring good health for the people through the provision of hygienic environment for the slaughtering of animals.

The Commissioner, who advised all the butchers to relocate to the abattoir not later than the first week of February, 2010 warned that whoever fails to comply with the order will face the wrath of the law.
