Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Dr. Sikiru Tae Lawal has assured workers of Governor Oni’s welfare package in the New Year.

Dr Lawal who gave the assurance while welcoming his staff, from the New Year holiday pledged his unflinching support for the Governor in his resolve to complete all the on-going projects in the State.

The Deputy Governor, however advised workers to cooperate with the government towards the effective implementation of its projects.

“You are all aware of our various projects across the State, the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) water projects, the hospital projects, tertiary institutions, including the University of Science and Technology, the Housing and Office complexes, including the Deputy Governor’s Office, as well as that of the State House of Assembly, among others. We need your support and understanding to complete these gigantic projects in the face of meager resources at our disposal” the Deputy Governor said.

He also urged civil servants to pray for the speedy recovery of the ailing nation’s president, Alhaji Umaru Yar’Adua who is receiving treatment in Saudi Arabia.
